A useful tip is to compare these measurements with those of a product you have at home.

A Length

Begin at the collar's edge at the top of the t-shirt (the highest shoulder point) and extend the tape to the shirt's bottom.

B Width

Start the tape at the seam just below one sleeve and stretch it across to the seam below the other sleeve.
